How it works

Skins without surgery

Local CDP injection

The engine launches the official Codex app with a DevTools port bound to 127.0.0.1 and injects CSS + decorative DOM. Your .app, app.asar, and code signature are never touched.

Native UI stays native

Sidebar, suggestion cards, project picker, and the composer remain real controls. It restyles the shell — it never fakes the window.

Reversible by design

One click restores the stock look. The injector stops, Codex relaunches clean, and no residue is left in the official install directory.
